Peer Feedback
Below is some of the feedback that I received from my classmates at the halfway stage of post production. At this point I had only finished cover 2 and started to produce my website, but used it as a chance to get feedback on my website and cover layout. I thought that it would be helpful as most of them are in my target demographic.
Do I need more coverlines?
Yes, although they’re very enticing, perhaps fill the page up completely.
It could do with some more so that it fills up the page more as well as different font for me that doesn’t make it stand out as coverlines and I almost don’t read them as the coverlines.
Maybe add a main coverline
I think a main coverline would fill the page :)
What could I add to the website to reduce the white space?
I personally love the white space; I think it looks modern and very professional. I would maybe space out the top titles so there uis more space between them. (Real life, fashion, beauty)
The white space defiantly gives it a more professional feel, but a real-life magazine isn’t supposed to be so perfect. Mayhe space everything out more and bulk it uop with stories. When looking at example websites in the research task many pages had a lot of stories and images with little white space.
I think the white space at the top is good because u have a lot of images. Maybe when you get to the about us part you could add a blurred image as the background?
I like the look at the top of the page to me the white space doesn’t need filling but when you get to the about us section maybe have a behind the scenes image or something like that
Could I add anything to make it appeal more to the target audience?
Maybe an outline around the masthead to make the pink colour really pop.
Change up the cover line typography as I skip over them as they don’t stand out and justr add some stuff like competions etc stuff that appeals to the TA of 16–25-year-old. It feels like it misses that genre.
I think you’re already targeting you’re audience well I think when you do your contents you could bring in social media. It’s a really good magazine cover well done :)
